The world's best-selling female pop artist (140 million records+)and the diva of divas, is back- and with a new album! The title, simply A New Day Has Come has a very special meaning to Celine. The lyrics of that song is in many ways a reflection of her. Celine revealed in 1999 that she was REALLY going to take a break from show business for at least 2 to 3 years. This news was shocking because Celine was at the top of her career. She has done what no other artists have done in a decade (sold an astounding 100 million records worldwide in 10 years). During that same year, while touring the US and the world, Rene, her husband, was diagnosed with throat cancer. She canceled many tour dates, not knowing whether she was able to postpone it to a later date. After chemotherapies and many tests, Rene was "miraculously" healed. To this day, he has no traces of that cancer and its reoccurance. In Fall of 1999, she released a "greatest hits" album All the Way...A Decade of Song, which featured 7 new songs and the rest, older hits. This album featured the hit single That's the Way It Is and the "virtual duet" between Celine and the late Frank Sinatra called All the Way. To say goodbye, she performed a farewell concert at the Molson Centre in Montreal on New Years Eve. The concert started before the countdown to 2000 and the bigger part of the party was after the countdown. The second-to-the-last song was "All By Myself," which at that time had a very special meaning to Celine and her fans. She ended the concert with the song that started off her career: Ce n'Était qu'un reve. During the break, the Diva kicked off with a "2nd wedding," where Celine and Rene got married in a Lebanese, middle-eastern style (it was on January 5, 2000; 5 is Celine's lucky number).

A plan for the break was to have a child and start a family. This dream came true, with the help of invitro fertilization (for most people, this process took many times to be successful; for Celine, miraculously, it took only 1 time). The baby born, was Rene-Charles (January 25, 2000).

Celine honestly admits that she "finally has it all," and that it's time for her to come back, and be with her fans again. The break will soon be over. A new day will come. That new day will feature Celine performing in a new venue- a Colosseum-styled stadium, built just for her to perform for three years, next to Caesars Palace. Instead of her going around to meet the fans; the fans will come to her. She will perform her songs, backed up with dances and choreography; it's going to be spectacular!
